Large Rat Eating Plant Discovered In Palawan
As mentioned in 24 Oras news in GMA7 TV, UK botanists discovered the one of the world's carnivorous plants that can eat insects and rodents such as rat in Palawan, Philippines.

Botanists named this second largest species, now called Nepenthes attenboroughii in honor of the UK's world-renowned natural history presenter Sir David Attenborough. The plant measures 30 centimeters in diameter and formed in the shape of large cup which full of water and acidic enzymes which has sweet scented nectar that can attract a prey and once captured in plants cup, it is difficult for the victim from escaping by the slippery,waxy leaves and consequences, drowns.
Nepenthes deaniana was first discovered in 1907 but was subsequently lost when the Philippine National Herbarium in Manila was bombed towards the end of World War II.
